Kilmarnock’s Budget
The Town fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30 of each year. The Treasurer and Town Manager prepare the budget for Town Council’s review.
There is a public hearing of the proposed budget in May of each year followed by a final reading in June. This is conducted at the Town Council meeting of the respective month.
FY2023 Budget:
The first reading of the FY23 budget will be June 20, 2022 at the regularly scheduled meeting of Town Council at 7:00 PM.
The second reading of the FY2023 Budget is Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at a Special Called Meeting of Town Council at Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
Real Estate tax rates and personal property tax rates remain unchanged. Water rates remain unchanged, however sewer rates will increase $15 per two month billing cycle effective July 1, 2022.
