Kilmarnock’s Budget

The Town’s fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30 of each year. The Treasurer and Town Manager prepare the budget for Town Council’s review.

There is a first reading and public hearing of the FY25 proposed budget on June 17, 2024 at the Town Council’s regularly scheduled Council meeting at 7:00 PM at Town Hall, 1 North Main Street. The second reading will be at a Special Called meeting of the Town Council on June 27, 2024 at Town Hall at 7:00PM.

FY2025 Proposed Budget:

The proposed Real Estate tax rates are reduced to $.07 per $100 of assessed value. The represents a decrease of $.0237 per $100 of assessed value.

The proposed Personal Property rate of $.16 per $100 of assessed value remains unchanged.

Water rates will remain unchanged per two month billing cycle.

The proposed sewer rates will increase $15 per two month billing cycle effective July 1, 2024.
