Tickets are now available  for 2nd Soul on June 15.

Town Hall will be closed Monday June 19th for Juneteenth. It will reopen Tuesday June 20th at 9am.

Kilmarnock’s Budget

The Town fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30 of each year. The Treasurer and Town Manager prepare the budget for Town Council’s review.

There is a public hearing of the proposed budget in May of each year followed by a final reading in June. This is conducted at the Town Council meeting of the respective month.

FY2024 Budget:

A Town Council Meeting and Public Hearing on the FY2024 Utility Rates, Tax and Fee Rates and the FY2024 Budget  will be May 15th, 2023 at the regularly scheduled meeting of Town Council at 7:00 PM.
The second reading of the foregoing ordinances is planned for the Council Meeting to be held June 26th, 2023.
All citizens are invited to attend.
Real Estate tax rates and personal property tax rates remain unchanged. Water rates remain unchanged, however sewer rates will increase $15 per two month billing cycle effective July 1, 2023.

A public hearing on the proposed budget and a first reading of this Ordinance will be
held on May 15, 2023 at the 7pm Town Council Meeting.

  1. Resolution 2023-005 Adoption of Water and Sewer Rates 2023-2024. Sewer rates will be increased by $15 per billing cycle (two months) for residential and commercial accounts effective July 1st. 2023 billing and thereafter.
  2.  Ordinance 2023-002 (uncodified) Re-adoption of tax and fee rates. The proposed tax rates are $.0937 per $100 of assessed real estate and $.16 per $100 of assessed personal property. This represents no change in tax or fee rates.
  3. Ordinance 2023-001 (uncodified) Adoption of the FY2024 Budget. Council proposes to adapt the budget.
