Kilmarnock’s Budget
The Town’s fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30 of each year. The Treasurer and Town Manager prepare the budget for Town Council’s review.
There is a first reading and public hearing of the FY26 proposed budget on May 19, 2025 at the Town Council’s regularly scheduled Council meeting at 6:00 PM at Town Hall, 1 North Main Street. The second reading will be at the June 16, 2025 meeting of the Town Council at Town Hall at 6:00PM.
FY2026 Proposed Budget:
The following documents will be presented at the May 19th, 2025 public hearing and first reading of the budget and at the June 16, 2025 second reading and adoption of the budget.
There is a $.03\$100 of assessed value increase to the real estate tax-from $.07 to $.10.

There is no change to personal property or other tax rates.

There are no changes to fee rates.
