The Classie Memorial Dog Show

The Town of Kilmarnock would like to invite the community and their four-legged friends to join us as we welcome, The Classie Memorial Dog Show to Scotty’s Yard Dog Park at Town Centre Park on September 9^th, 2023. “I am so excited for this event and what a better place to hold it then Scotty’s Yard?!, stated Rebecca Nunn, Chair of Parks. This event holds near and dear to my heart knowing it’s a memorial to my late dog Classie, who was the first dog to enter the dog park when it first opened!” said Nunn.

The Dog Show will have 20+ fun and interactive categories for adults, kids and their dogs to compete in. Sign-up will be the day of the show starting at 9am. Followed by a Pooch Parade at 10am to start the fun with competition starting after that. Each entry will be $4.00 and we ask everyone to bring food donations for local dog shelters.

Categories include: Best Lap Dog, Best Trick ,Best Eyes, Longest Ears, Best Paw Shaker, Best tail wager, Best Smoocher (licker),Best rescue story, Best looking rescue, Best Fetcher, Best Personality (doggie personality),Best sit, lie down, and stay, Best Costume, Best in Show for both age groups.

Lancaster and Northumberland animal shelters will be on hand with adoptable friends and all proceeds from the competition will go to the Animal Welfare League. ARFS and CRAFTS Doggie Art Show, Food Trucks & More Dog Dooings last throughout the day! Come join us for a Dog gone great day!
