Music on the Half Shell Stage presents Raquel & The Wildflowers Oct. 4
Weaving tales of life’s adventures through heart pounding rhythms and powerful lyrics, Raquel & The Wildflowers will take you on a journey where the dust settles and the cowboys & cowgirls dance.
Singer/Songwriter Raquel de Souza won a ReverbNation contest in 2018 for her first single “Run Towards the Highway”. The song went #32 on DRT Top 50 Country Airplay charts alongside country stars like Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan. Shortly after she performed live on air for several radio stations throughout the USA.
A year later in 2019, Raquel changed her artist name to Raquel & The Wildflowers. Since then, she has toured the USA independently with her band, lighting up stages featuring headliners like Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Sara Evans, and others.
Other notable performances include opening for multi-platinum artist Andy Grammer, award winning bands as well as performing at the Ohio State Fair, The Big E Fair, MusikFest, Country Fest, Lando Live, Thursdays Downtown, Northern Appalachian Folk Festival, The Cutting Room, The Geneseo Riviera and more.
Raquel’s “I’m a wildflower” tour in 2023 provided a glimpse of several songs from her first album. On August 1, 2023, she released the album exclusively on a CD, and by December 22, 2023, all the CDs were sold out. The digital version will be accessible worldwide on music platforms starting February 27, 2024. The digital album will feature two bonus tracks known as the “Lavender Version”.
