Hurricane Season

It’s time to be prepared! To keep your family safe during hurricane season, the Commonwealth of Virginia offers three simple ways to get ready: 1) Get a Kit, 2) Make a Plan 3) Stay  informed.  Go to readyvirginia.gov for helpful checklists for families, special needs, & pets.

Banners Return

Holiday banners will be available for purchase again this year to honor a loved one. They will be displayed throughout Steptoe’s District. Donors will be invited to the Town’s Holiday Illumination just before Thanksgiving. For more information, click here. For an order form, click here.

Mary Ball Rd. Project

The first three houses for rehabilitation have been selected and the contract is ready. The work will begin shortly.

The award to construct the sewage pumping station has been made to J. Sanders Construction of West Point, VA. This station will serve the residences along Mary Ball Road as they are connected to Town sewer lines. Work will begin shortly and continue through the fall.
